Research Scientist - Trustworthy AI

About us:

The mission of JD Explore Academy is to advance the frontier of machine learning, quantum computing, computer vision, natural language processing, and data science. The associated Trustworthy AI group endeavours to pursue excellence in research and development of trustworthy AI including

• Deep learning theory and explainability;
  
• Privacy preservation in machine learning;
  
• AI ethics;
  
• AI + X.

Responsibility:

As a research scientist, you are expected to lead a team to pursue excellence in the fundamental research in one or more of the aforementioned four areas.

Requirements:

• Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, electronic engineering, or other related areas from a reputable institute;
• Excellent publication records: two or more papers in top conferences (e.g., ICML, NeurIPS, and ICLR) and top journals (e.g., JMLR, TPAMI, JASA, and Annals of Statistics), where you are the leading author;
• One of the following two:
  • Excellent background in mathematics/statistics. Candidates with mathematics competition medals are preferred;
  • Excellent programming skills. Familiar with Python and at least one of PyTorch and TensorFlow.
